Domicilium (IOM) Ltd Recognised for Excellence in Facility Design

For the second year running, Domicilium’s hosting facility at Ronaldsway has been nominated for awards which recognise excellence in facility design and operation. It was in December 2007 whilst Domicilium were still constructing their new facility that they were first short listed in the “Innovation in an Outsourced Environment” category, a pan-European award at the prestigious Datacentre Dynamics Awards Ceremony. After what has been a successful first year in their new state of the art premises, Domicilium have once again been nominated for two awards in the pan- European award “Innovation in an Outsourced Environment” and “Innovation in the Medium Datacentre” a UK wide award. Domicilium operate the only Datacentre on the Island to be shortlisted in these awards.

Companies that have been short listed alongside Domicilium include Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Aviva. Also Arup, BskyB, Digital Reality Trust, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, EDS, Sun Microsystems, London City Airport and public sector and education leaders in Datacentre design build and operation. Zahl Limbuwala, Chairman, Data Centre Specialist Group at the British Computer Society (BCS) heads up the judging panel for these prestigious awards, and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel, where over 500 of the leading players within this market will gather to recognise excellence within their industry.

It has been a year that has seen Domicilium buck the world economic trend with record growth.
